Riding Gear
An everyday riding-gear checklist
· 4 min read
Good riding gear is easiest to use when it fits your routine. Start with the items you can wear consistently, then add protection and weather layers as your riding changes.
Build from the helmet outward
Choose a helmet that fits snugly and fastens securely. Gloves can improve grip and protect your hands from wind and road grime. A riding jacket, strong trousers, and covered footwear add useful coverage for regular commutes and longer trips.
Check it before you leave
Fasten straps, check zips and closures, and keep rain gear or a high-visibility layer ready when conditions call for it. Replace gear that is badly worn, damaged, or no longer fits securely.
The most useful gear is the gear you will actually wear on every ride.
